CaratLane’s design contest to support and encourage ‘designprenuers’ to enter the industry was a first-of-its-kind initiative in India. NIFT students aced the contest, with Rukmani from NIFT-Gandhinagar bagging the first prize in ‘Reviving Indian Craft’ category. Ashish Kumar from NIFTGandhinagar came a close second in the same category. In the ‘Laser Cutting Technique’ category, Anjali Singh from NIFT-Kangra won the first prize, followed by Khushi Jain from NIFT-Kolkata, winning the third prize in the same category. CaratLane awarded students certificates and prize money.
